Hi everyone its been 6 months I have not been on here. How is everyone doing. I am doing well. I got my new budgie name Stardust. Have her for 6 months. So I really need help with Leilani and Stardust please. The one day I had them both out,and Stardust kept hitting every thing. Thanks goodness she did not hurt her self. So how many feathers on each side should be clip. I want them to fly low not high and glide down lightly down. So I can tame them both. Thanks everyone. Please do not get mad at me, I really got nerves after Stardust hit my celling, tv, mirror, and wall. I want them safe please. I still upset what happen to Olivia when wing were full and flew away. Also need help taming them too.

I'm not familiar with how well budgies fly with clipped wings. My suggestion would be to clip 3 or 4 feathers on each wing and then see how well she flies. Then you can clip more feathers if you need to.

Can you take them to a vet or a pet store for a clip? Then, they can show you how to do it, and next time you can do itself if it's comfortable. There are also videos on youtube. Just do a search for budgie wing clip, and I think you will find some.

I know how scary it is to watch them run into things. My birds did at first, then they learned the house.
