Any ideas for decorating my aviary? The aviary is home-style. I originally wanted it like a greenhouse style but for some reason i was craving luxury before it was being built. Can i plant trees? how about bushes? I'm not sure. i love the garden style. The problem with trees is that it will take up a lot of room and it will need maintenance. Should i cover the floor with tarp to get rid of that "luxury" look. i like messy looks fort aviaries. i feel like my aviary is too nice, to organized, too uncomfortable.
it doesn't have to be trees or bushes but if there is any other cute decorations then ill be glad to try it out.

How about putting some tree's or shrubs in tubs, you can then swop them around, or take them out for a change.. How about a spread of wild grass's on the floor, this way when your fed up you can sweep it up or just add new ones... mix seed in with it, you can make it as messy as you like, as long as its safe stuff for your birds... be good for the birds to forage for some food...

If you have access to bird-safe trees, you can cut branches from time to time and hang them in the aviary. Cockatiels love to rip the leaves off of branches so you'll get leaf litter on the floor for a messy natural look. If there's enough of it down there the poop will land on the leaves not the actual floor, and you can clean up by sweeping up the leaves.

That's a wonderful idea as well!
I figured out what was the real problem. I got board with the way it was set up. I'm happy with the look of everything else. It just required a new set up. I changed the whole aviary. I added the pot with the bird seeds I planted. They loved it so much! I took pictures. I think I have to do something like Casey. She changes her cage set up monthly. Totally off topic: Last update I have heard from her was a couple of months ago. She said she was pregnant. She hasn't been on any forum ever since. She said she would be very busy.

Let me see the pictures. Then maybe I could come up with more ideas.
