Yesterday morning I found a ping pong ball in the flight cage. I am mystified about how it got there. Perhaps I was sleep walking and did it. At first, it looked like a huge egg LOL.

The Vision cage for the budgies arrived this morning. I took me over an hour to put together. I was cursing and swearing because I couldn't click the parts together. It's the L01. Now it's together, I really like it. I am hoping it will contain the seed and feathers better. I know some people hate it, but I decided to go with the ones who do like it. I was worried about whether it would be too heavy to lift off the base for cleaning. However, I can do it fairly easily. I have decided to try putting paper on top of the grate, so I can just remove the paper every day.

Meanwhile, Emma and Silver are getting along very well.

I am happy with the new arrangements.

I always found it amusing when one of my birds brought me something suspicious.

Your birds were probably wondering what the heck you were doing up in the middle of the night placing a ping pong ball in their cage.

I'm glad your happy with the vision cage. I wonder if Piper will bond with Winter and give up on Emma. Then maybe Emma will pair up with Silver. I just noticed that you like to name your birds that's are white, winter themes. Your last bird that had white was named snowy.

"Your last bird that had white was named snowy."

It's true! White just makes me think of snow, not chrysanthemums.

I momentarily thought of naming her Snowy, but decided that just wouldn't be right. But, looking at her today, she just says "Winter" to me, not "Snowy."

I do so much hope that Piper will like Winter. I do want him to be happy. I know many say, "You shouldn't get a bird for a bird, only get it for yourself." But, I'm not sure I agree.

Tonight I moved both Piper and Winter into the new Vision cage. It's been about half an hour. They've both eaten seeds, and Piper is now on the top step of the ladder singing.

It's really kind of cool looking at Winter's eyes. They are a deep red, and are kind of amazing up against her pure white feathers. I had a lutino budgie when I was growing up. He had red eyes. But they weren't as remarkable against the yellow as they are against the white.

Winter seems to have decided that she likes the rope perch the best. She's sitting there beak ginding.

I see you skipped over quarantine. Did she and Piper connect in any way yet?

"I see you skipped over quarantine."

Please don't tell anyone.

"Did she and Piper connect in any way yet?"

Well, they aren't preening each other. But they are doing things together. They ate together. Right now they are on different perches, but both are preening themselves.

Oh, my.
I think I just saw Emma and Silver touch beaks.
It's great fun having four birds to watch.
