When I saw this video, I saw my birds. This is EXACTLY what my birds do to Cloudia ALL day! The only difference is that there is hing away and chasing involved. Quote: Why can't Emma and Silver breed? They can't breed because they arent interested into each other. Another reason I belive is that Dianne doesn't want babies at the moment.

She could (and did) mate with Piper, but there was no way that babies could come out of that pairing since they were different species from totally different branches of the parrot family. The two major divisions in the parrot family are the cockatoos and all the other parrots. Cockatiels are cockatoos and budgies are other parrots, so they're fairly far apart genetically and not compatible enough to have hybrid babies. Oh... I thought Emma and Silver were both Cockatiels.

Emma and Silver are cockatiels. Piper is a budgie.
I don't particularly want babies. I am hoping that, with hormone control, things won't get to that point again. I have learned some things over the last couple of months.
If Emma and Silver got to that point despite my efforts, I might let one egg hatch. It would be hard to resist.
Piper, a year ago, was best buddies with a male budgie named Snowy. However, after Emma entered the picture, he threw Snowy over. My neighbor across the street wanted Snowy, so I gave him to her. She got another budgie to keep him company, so it worked out for everyone.
My mistake was mixing species in the same flight cage. I had read that one shouldn't do it, but they all seemed to want to be together, so I let them.
