I'm in love with Winter already! She cleans her tail feathers just like Emma does (I posted a video of that a couple of days ago.) And I love to watch her fluff up her pure white feathers and shake her tail. She doesn't seem to be upset at all by all the changes from pet store to 18 x 18 cage and from that cage to the Vision cage.
I think I am going to discard the 18 x 18 cage. I really didn't like it. The Vision cage is so much nicer.

I don't have vast experience in this area, but I get the impression that budgies tend to adjust to a new home a lot faster than cockatiels do. They're a much bolder bird.

Quite the contrary Carolyn. My budgies are scaredy cats. My tiels were BEGGING to be let out and held. Although my cockatiels aren't exactly typical.

My experience is the same, but my budgies weren't (still aren't! lol) tame and Coyote was tame from the get go but even so, in general he seemed to adjust much faster with regards to eating and not standing frozen, staring at me in terror.

Mine aren't either.
