One of the comments on the Little Richard version was that someone was imagining Natalie Wood (the girl in the movie) singing it that way. That person has a better imagination than I do because I can't visualize it, but the idea is hilarious.
I don't know of any other songs quite like that but I do know other weird songs. This next one will mostly be of interest for the way they introduce it (caution - adult language!) and I doubt that anyone here would actually enjoy the song apart from me. I like it for the sheer quirk factor. There's an old poem that's 600+ lines long called the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, about a sailor who's put under a curse for killing an albatross. In the end it's a poem about how we should love nature and all animals, but it takes a LONG time to get there. The original poem is here if anyone is interested:
