You guys can call me crazy now!

I have been recently emailing Sussane about her website on Just Cockatiels. I bought it. I actually ended up paying $20 instead of $10 because the guilt was eating me up. Sussane emailed me a few hours ago asking me if I can have 10-15 of her birds for free. I told her that the max I can handle at the moment is 10. Guess what? My mom said yes! My dad said I can have 6 if I wanted to. Back to the point. I'm getting another cockatiel!! I'm so excited.

If I'm doing the math right, she offered you a bunch of birds, but you're only taking one to bring your total to 10. I'm surprised that she's giving birds away.

It looks like your wish to see her flock will be granted too, since you'll presumably have to go there to pick up your new bird. Do you want a male or a female? It looks to me like your boys currently outnumber the girls.

Crazy! That's what you wanted right?

Ooooh, oooh. If you can get one with a great personality, do that, or if most of them are wild children, maybe you can pick a WF cock or pied like you want.

Yeah. You got the math right. I think she has pearl hens so I'm getting a pearl. I asked for a pearl split to whiteface and/or pied. I hope she has one. Then I'm going to hope the males like her.

Lately she's been focused on breeding pure normal greys with no splits so I'm not sure how many other genes are floating around in her flock. But I guess you'll find out!

I'm going to get a girl. I'm pretty sure none of them are tame. I would rather get a female to make the boys happy, and so they can bring babies to make me happy.

You know, strangest thing, I swear I was working with a straight NG. I saw no signs of any split on him. No pearling remnants, tick marks, white under mask... now he may have been a pearl as a youngin' (most likely) but Ozzie seemed almost pure to me, as I was looking all over. He is about 13 years old, and he was passed around a lot before he winded up at our family friend's house.

Pure greys are uncommon but they do exist. So you never know, maybe he was one.
