I figured it out. Beck is molting. He dropped a few flights and thus it hindered his balance when moving or flying.

Just out of curiosity, what does it look like when a bird has a stroke and what happens afterward?

The budgies came out today and Beck fluttered right over onto the couch where I was sitting. I said "hey Becky boy!" and he fluttered off again. That was a nice surprise.

And poor Poppy is having one too. He is an English pinhead all over again. Poor guy. I wish he would let me rub his face to make all the yucky pinfeathers go away.

I wonder if all english budgies are like ours (Poptart and Waffles), where they never seem to ever stop molting. Maybe that's part of why they don't live as long, they spend all their life energy on growing damn feathers!
