I don't know much about caiques, what are the two types you have to choose from and what makes them different from one another?

There are two different caique species, the black-headed and the white-bellied. Actually both of them have white bellies, but I guess they didn't want to call one of them orange-headed. Here are both species side by side:

I'm more partial to the white bellied myself. Both are pretty much the same personality wise. Naughty, stubborn, bouncy and headstrong.

You forgot loud Stephanie. I heard them on YouTube, they are LOUD!

I personally like the white bellied more.

I kinda like the black-headed myself. I see them more often at the bird club.

how large are they?

Not that big. It's like 9 inches long I think.

I think qhite bellied are tiny bit bigger but dunno for sure. They can be loud. But the one i had b4 wasent unless timer was going off. Aby bird can scream. Im not worries as my bird will get lots attention.
