At your age, the skateboarding thing is due exactly NOW! My husband used to skate but once he hit his thirties, skating sort of phased out I think in part due to ramifications of getting hurt*. When you're young, you bounce back from the sort of minor injuries you inevitably get from skating. But it's FUN and you should go out immediately to your local skate shop and get yourself a board. Watch some vids on how to ollie and whatnot and do it to it!
*He also had a very bad sprained ankle from playing basketball that left his ankle weaker and prone to rolling, causing another sprain. Lots of people continue skating through their thirties and forties even but it would be really hard (and painful!) for a 40 year old me to just start learning.
My bucket list would include taking my kid to Disney World, travelling to lots of different parts of the world (in particular Europe, Australia and Japan), help my kiddo in and through college (not an option for me when I graduated high school, so big deal for me as a parent), learn to play the piano and eventually hopefully spend a bunch of time with grandkids since I really wanted more children but it wasn't in the cards for me.
Wow. I had no idea my bucket list was so... mommy-ish and kinda boring. Maybe I'll get more daring as I get older.
