If I did my math right: you had 14, you rehomed 6, and you are allowed to keep 7, that means one more bird is unaccounted. Would you have to rehome somebody else?

Yes, that's what I thought too. One is unaccounted for.

Sorry I didn't see the question!
Basically both Lesley and Bimbo are supposed to find a home soon, that's the one unaccounted for. I was pretty sure that Lesley, as beautiful and sweet as she is, would find home soon, and that's what happened! Last Sunday she went to her new home, to be the companion for an adorable 23yo grey boy. So now I have seven, will put Bimbo on the rehoming list but I would like to keep him, we'll see.

Thank you for asking, Chipper, the house is very quiet (well, relatively lol), and I miss some of my babies enormously, Trilly, Frank and Darcy especially. I wasn't even aware how much I love that psycho bird.
I think of them constantly, and sometimes I think screw the council I go get my birds back lol.

Sensible head now Barbara.... you need a home...
Enjoy 7 birds they can take a lot of looking after... I only have 3p'lets plus 2 budgies, and they seem lots of work on times... Boy I miss having a tiel!

I could never live without a tiel. That is the truth. Ever since I first got Beaker I was hooked.

No way Baruch! But the landlord objected to 14 so I had to reduce the flock. I think I explained in the first post, it's long but tells about the trials and tribulations.

Jan, I know... Please if you read me posting about getting another bird please SCOLD ME! LOL no really I count on your wiseness, I have no self restraint at all...

Barbara, it does not surprise me that you miss those particular birds the most. You're clearly a compassionate person and it seems to be part of the compassionate person's makeup to miss the people (or pets or clients or whatever) that make you work the hardest. In my professional life, I see people I help every week until they're all healed and sometimes that is just a couple of months and sometimes it's years. No matter what, though, it's always the ones that caused me the most frustration that I end up wondering about once they're gone, wondering if they're doing OK and if such and such worked out for them and so on. Luckily for me, the nature of my job is such that I never run out of pains in the rear to deal with so once one is healed up, they get quickly replaced. Haha!

I think you'll become a lot more invested in your current 7 and you'll find your new "pain in the rear but love to love" in one or two of them, I'm sure. With 7, I have no doubt that it's just a matter of time until one takes on the naughty role! ;)

My pain in the rear is Jaid. He is an annoying, loud,
incessant, naughty, crazy, defiant, uncontrollable, cheeky, bitey and inappropriate little bird.

It's going to hurt when I lose him though.
