Indeed Jesse!

I've been studying parrot behavior for a long time (I still don't know as much as other's do), but I know for a fact that animals benefit from a name so they have something to familiarize themselves with.

And, just so you know, who cares what other people think? He's your bird. If you pick a name and you like it but they don't, well, too bad. You can't please everybody. That being said, I still like Freddy.

I think maybe B just isn't as verbal as some of us. As long as he has a bond and a good relationship with the bird, it doesn't really matter whether the bird has an official name or not. The bird probably doesn't know what B's name is either so they're on equal terms lol.

I do think he/she needs a name because... I don't know, he needs a name! Even if it's just "Bird". Outside of that I really don't think there's one single way to be a good pet owner. Feed pet. Give pet clean water. Be nice to pet. Take care of sick pet. As long as all four of those categories are taken care of, the rest is just icing on the cake and individual to everyone's unique situations, personalities and so on.

I just have a weird thing though about him needing a name! That's me though and doesn't even fall into one of the four categories above.

Id suggest sunny as well or sunshine.

Silver definitely knows his name, and he comes when I call him. Sometimes he will also come when I call Emma.

Im going to give him a name. I just had another name for him. ill make a poll shortly.
