Ok, let's not act like a pair of male cockatiels during mating season with only one hen in the cage over this. ParrotWhisperer didn't mean any harm on his comment. He was just voicing his opinion. However it is easy to misread tones, because we can't hear voices when we read. and ParrotWhisperer, you don't need to be defensive. This is all a big misunderstanding, I see. Cloudy Skies saw it as criticism toward's how B is approaching the whole naming situation. I know that wasn't your intention, but like I said, it's easy to misread tones. Also, Chipper was simply quoting you. They didn't say YOU were kidding, THEY were kidding. If you take out the quote, and just read it word for word, it sounds like this: "me too, but only in a try to make it 50/50 so that CrazyConure will realize that you shouldn't put a poll up for your birds name its your bird you choose the name. (just kidding)". See how that sounds, without the quote? They were just quoting you, for their own joke. Now that's settled, are we good?

Um, thanks? I'm fine with my post exactly as I posted it. To sum up: name your pet whatever you like in whatever manner you like. It's all good. Said the person with the parakeet named Ninja, a dog named Davey and a female turtle named Kevin. Parrotwhisperer, yes, names very much do matter when it comes to things like running for president. If one's name was Upchuck The DuckUp, well... I don't think one would have much luck in politics. I, however, may have just found the perfect name for my next pet.

You all realize that the names for my pets are atrocious and were mostly picked by my son who thought they were funny? My dog's name is the same one the rescue gave him, I thought it sounded like a funny name for a dog so all these years later, that's what he still has.
exactly, and making a poll sounds like approaching the issue as serious as if the parrot could become a president Summing up: take it easy. It's just a name for a pet. Not the future president

Well if that was somebodys name and they would have made a great president then thats just stupid if they werent elected because of their name thats just rude its not their fault. And im only saying in case u misread this.

This is something that causes alot of problems in forums like this and its all because u cant hear somebodys voice there should be emojis on this so u wouldnt misread things.

OK well I think enough has been said and everything seems to be calming down now. I named my princess parrot Dweezil. Because a name that was good enough for Frank Zappa's son is good enough for a pet bird. Here's a highly inappropriate joke about names: http://www.reddit.com/r/Jokes/comments/ ... n_lesbian/
