I am curious to know about which length tail feathers do you like on birds better? Long tails (cockatiels, conures, budgies ect) or short tails (lovebirds, parrotlets, cockatoos ect)

I like stocky birds. Cockatoos, amazons, greys, lovebirds, parrotlets, pionus. All of these guys are exploding with personality.
Cockatiels are my favorite bird, but I always note 2 issues with their long tails. One is they rub on everything in a confined space and make it all ratty, two would be most drag their tails while walking, so instead of Jaid being a cockatiel he now just took a second job as a Swiffer (which, isn't entirely all that bad, so I give props there), but most of the time they just get their tails all dirty.

I never have any problems with long tails. What do u mean most drag their tails while walking.

Every year the bird club has a special Christmas raffle at the December meeting, and we always buy some birds for this raffle at the October bird mart. I'm the treasurer of the bird club, and at the October bird mart last year the president asked me to go look for some birds for the raffle. So I was wandering around looking at birds when Dweezil tried to get my attention and I fell in love. So I went back to the president and said "if you'd like to get a princess parrot, I'll babysit him until the Christmas party". So we bought him and I babysat him for six weeks.
I tried to win him at the Christmas party but I lost!! But in April the woman who won him brought him to the monthly meeting for wing-clipping, and mentioned that she wasn't sure she would be able to keep him for a variety of reasons. So I said that if she couldn't keep him I'd love to take him. And at the May meeting she brought him in and gave him to me! I was really happy. I felt like we belonged together since the moment I laid eyes on him. Thats a good story you two were meant to be together.
