Dweezil makes a cockatiel's tail look short.

To be quite honest, I don't have much of a preference. The slender bodies that come with long tails does indeed look majestic, but short tails are also cute, with their stocky build. which in my opinion, makes them look super cuddly! :D

But this is coming from someone who has a cockatiel, and a pionus, where one has a long tail, and one has a short tail. :pionus-wh: :cockatielbirdorable:

I was asking because Rio's tail is pretty awkward on him. He doesn't hold it up and looks awkward when walking. Do you think it will be temporary?

I like the heavier built birds a little more. They look so chubby and cuddly.

Wow! That bird is amazing! Are those birds expensive? Or are they just as a cockatiel's value? Anyways, I doubt I'll find one here

BTW, your story is amazing. I can see you two are soul mates! :)

Well you know me, I love cockatoos. And lovebirds. Both are very cuddly and both are definitely nuts.

I love my cockatiels' tails. When Emma fans hers out, it looks gorgeous. It's very balanced and she hasn't ever broken tail feathers.

Silver had a stubby tail for a long time. Now, he has a nice long one.

I don't allow my tiels on the floor, so the tails don't get dusty.

I think Caquies are really cute birds with their stocky body and short tail. If not a sun conure, then my bird would be a caique.

I forgot about caiques. I considered one, but they are worse than lovebirds with an ADD problem. They are always doing something and pretty much never sit still. Definitely blue crown and pionus for me.

Princess parrots are about $300 at the bird marts but you can bargain with the sellers and see what happens. The bird club got Dweezil for $275. He was handfed but not really tame - it was obvious that handfeeding him was all they did and they didn't play with him or let him learn to fly or even teach him to step up.

When it came to learning step-ups he was the most clueless bird I've ever seen. He didn't learn it during the first six weeks I had him, and he didn't learn it during the 5 months he was with his other owner (who wasn't too skilled with untame birds), and it took another 2 months for him to learn it after he came back to me. He had no idea whatsoever about what I wanted from him, but he finally got the hang of it. He's still a little reluctant to step up sometimes but he does understand what's going on now, and sometimes he's very willing.

Awesome!!! I guess that I could also take a long time taming Pip as he is very nervous.
