Did anybody else notice on the forum picture in the middle the blue budgie it looks like the birds open wing is his wing and hes like hey over here lol.

That's a special budgie named Blinkie. He belongs to Bea, one of our early group members. She's not here any more, but she went on to be one of the co-founders of the Talk Cockatiels group. She's not there any more either, her life got busy and I think she's moved on from hanging out on bird forums. That picture won our photo contest in 2006. I wanted to include Blinkie in the banner because his adventures were such a major topic on LFB when I first joined.



The bird with the open wing is a mousebird. They're said to be great pets.

That's what I thought it was at first, but then I realized it was actually from the bird next to him, which is a white backed mousebird.

Provide a good-quality picture and it can be done lol.

I'd ask to put Lucy in too. As if we don't have enough cockatiels on the banner already.

We really do have enough cockatiels in the banner already (and they're all mine lol - Teela, Geezer and Vlad). We have too many cockatiels and budgies here to put everybody's bird in the logo, but when it's a less-common species like Mel's caique we can accommodate that, as long as the picture is as sharp and clear as the one that's there already. BTW the princess parrot in the banner is NOT Dweezil, but it's possible that he might end up there someday if I get an appropriate photo of him.
