Ok so today I decided to just put Rio up for Adoption and after creating my ad somebody replied already and I asked them questions and then they called me and we had a chat they are a couple they used to own different birds lovebirds,cockatiels,budgies and dont have any birds anymore so they would like to adopt Rio and are coming to collect him tomorrow.I really believe they are the right people also they are home all the time so will be able to give him full attention and out of cage time that was one of my questions can they give him at least 4 hours out of cage time.Ah but really I will miss his loud chirps and his small little aggressive body.Well at least now he is finally going to a good home and I really hope he gets his Happy ending.

It's sad that you can't keep him, but he'll be better off this way. At least you got to keep him for a while and have some good times with him!

It will also be too quiet without him I like a bit of noise lol Mango needs to get singing lol.Actually how long do u think it will take for him to start making noise.

With cockatiels it takes a couple of months for them to really let their true personality show. I don't know what the settling-in period for plumheads is like. Dweezil was noisy from day 1 but he was shy and nervous in a lot of other respects for a couple of months.

Sometimes letting go is hard, even though when you know it's the best thing to do. At least you can take comfort in knowing that he has a good home to go to.

He's being picked up this evening I hope he does well in his new home.

You can always ask the new people to keep you informed of how well he's settling in.

I wouldnt be so sure anytime someone says they will take him they never do I have been ringing them its getting late and no answer and I left messages too so looks like ill have to relist the ad.
