I'm not sure if I should give Pip and Kiwi away. It's not that I don't love them, but having 3 birds with me feels like way too much work. High school's gotten me really busy, and even though I'm in vacation, I'm having trouble caring for them because I'm not always home. Though just thinking about giving them away makes me very uncomfortable and sad, there's some stuff that the family is going through right now that makes it even harder. Also, MY budget is so low and my parents won't spend a penny on my birds, not even food (that doesn't mean that they can't) and food here is so expensive. I don't even know what to do anymore.

Do what's best for you....
Can you find your birds new homes... If so think about It ....
It cant be easy, if you don't have the backup of your parents....also what's best for your birds health and well being... not an easy choice for you
Good luck lets us know how it all goes...

I'm sorry to read this.

I can't offer you any advise other than: Do what you think is best for them.

If you have to go the extra mile to take care of them that's a sacrifice you have to make. It comes with the responsibility when purchasing a bird. If you really can't do that, for any reason. Think about the birds first and foremost! Your broken heart should be comforted by the fact you made the decision for them, not for your sake.

Hope this helps...

Yeah do what you think is best my mam doesn't mind how many birds I have as long as they are all properly taken care of.I can handle my 3 and if I ever needed food my mam would get it for me if I was low on money or whatever else I needed but thats different to you I suppose and my mam is a bird person.

If I lived near you, I could take one of them in myself. Though I'm in Arizona, United States. I can't drive, let alone drive to Mexico. :P

I may or may not be a borderline bird-hoarder.

Anyways, like most people said, do what's best for you and your birds. It's hard to give up a bird, though it helps to know they're in a home that can provide for them.

Since you're not sure what you should do, just wait for a while and see what happens. Eventually you'll know what the right answer is. I hope that you'll find that you can keep them, but if that's not the way it turns out then try to find a home for them with someone who will love them and take good care of them the way you do.

Thank you all for your support. If I were to give them away, I'd give them away to someone very loving and in beter conditions than I am. I will wait at least 1 more week to see how things turn out and then I'll make a decision.

would talking to your parents about your problems help? sometimes a good conversation can help.

Not to sound like I'm only making up excuses or anything, but I don't think my parents would be the best to talk to. They would fully agree with me in letting them go, and take them away themselves.
