These are two old videos of Coco and I making "music". The "" are because Coco likes a melody so much he won't change it, like, for any song!

This is the Unchained Melody song covered by Coco and me on the Ukulele:

Oh and PS: I look incredibly fat... Don't judge! Lol

And this is a "Remix" of the song The Scientist by Coldplay played on the piano by me and "singed" by Coco:

 that is adorable. I love how he's trying to match the rhythm, but he's still just singing his own tune.

One thing you could try to do, is whistle the melody to the original song as you play. Then he could eventually pick up the tune.

Then again, I had a cockatiel that learned one tune. He liked that tune so much, he would whistle it whenever we tried to teach him something else.

Nice piano playing, by the way. :applaud: I wish I was that good. My main instruments are cello and guitar, but I'm working on harmonica, and I'd love to learn ukulele.

I would LOVE to play the cello, I think it's the soul's instrument. I play the piano, violin and ukulele. The ukulele is the easiest instrument to play, like EVER! And most of them are very cheap. Also if you are a guitar player, the skills transfer pretty quickly, so you should try it!

Every time I play, Coco always gets Singy with his repeated tune, and it's very cute! Does Lucy ever sing while you play the cello or guitar or piano?

Oh and thanks, but I'm still learning :D

I've only ever played piano for my birds, but Lucy isn't much of a singer (female cockatiels don't sing as much as males do). She just walks all over ghe keys. I did allow her to walk on my iPad with a piano app open. It freaked her out.

She has attempted to "sing" before, but it happens in short bouts of "chattering" noises, with no set pattern. It also sounds more squawky than whistley. Actually, I haven't heard her chatter since before she went missing for several days.

I'm hoping my second cockatiel, Alex, might be male, and learn to sing. He's still not old enough, but I'm humming and whistling tunes to him already, hoping he might learn something.

Maybe he's improvising. He's matching the tempo, and adjusting his rhythm/pattern as such. Either way, he's pretty in sync with Erik even when he's adding his own melody.

I guess you can call it: "The Coco touch". ;)

On a daily basis the piano. A couple of times a week the classical guitar and the flute/ocarina/pan flute. I also have a cheap ukulele, but I don't play it much. Maybe because it is cheap it is not so good...

I love ocarina and pan flute! I've always wanted to learn and play them! Especially ocarina, since it appears in a few of my favorite video games. :D
