It really has gone too far. If I were you, I would stop wasting my time with the peppermint, and call the Dublin pest control number Erik posted on this thread earlier. The poison they use will not hurt the birds unless the birds ingest it, and that shouldn't be a problem, unless you let them run around on the floor.

I'm sorry, but there shouldn't be any excuse to let this go on for any longer. It needs to be taken care of ASAP for the sake of your health, your family's health, and your bird's health!

Ill have to tell my mam about the pest control I cant just ring them. The peppermint is working in other rooms I just dont wanna use it in my room.Poison is messy it smells when it kills the mice and you dont know where the body is.

That is true.

Why don't you move the birds to a room where the mice aren't, so you can use the peppermint until the mice are gone?

Your room will be less attractive to the mice if you keep the food where they can't get it. This includes sweeping up any spills where the birds threw food on the floor. Right now your room is probably the best place in the house for them to get a free meal, since the peppermint is keeping them out of all the others.

Another mouse was in the cockatiels cage today and I thought it was gone and after giving them some seed I continued getting ready for school and then it plopped off the cage and on to the floor and walked past me.I have been cleaning the floor often but they are still getting in the cage I think ill have to block it somehow.Where exactly would you most likely find holes where the mice are coming from? At this stage we dont care what has to be done as long as they are gone.

The mice are actually getting IN the cage!?! :yikes: :yikes:

If the mice are coming from somewhere down the hall their entry point could be almost anywhere. If they're emerging from somewhere in the room, look around for small holes in the wall or floor. It might be a VERY small hole, because with a lot of animals their fur makes them look bigger than they really are, and they can squeeze through spaces that we wouldn't have thought possible.

You really don't have a guest bedroom or anything that you can put their cages in before you get rid of the mice in your rooms? Is there any room in the kitchen to put their cages next to Tiko? They might need to stay in their cages longer than usual for those days, but it's for their safety.
