What a funny way to introduce your new budgie! He's adorable.

I was wondering about that picture on facebook.

I was thinking of getting a budgie myself, actually. I saw an adorable one that was up for adoption at the tucson parrot rescue, but they declined my application because my mom smokes (I mean, it's understandable, but shouldn't it be alright if you're able to provide a smoke free environment for the bird? ).

Anyways, congrats. I hope he gets along with the tiels.

Thank you! He wasn't tame when I got him, he was really wary of humans and kept trying to fly away... But now, he's starting to gain trust on me. So far, he's learnt to step up and walk from short distances and step up on my finger to get millet. Satchimo is going to be a great pet once he's tame, I'm sure.

Its so easy to earn a budgies trust.It took me one day to learn my budgie to step up too.And Loki is a cockatiel and it took 2 days to tame her.

That's cool!! I'm pretty sure it has to do with their personalities and what they've been through though.

At first, I was scared of trimming his wings. I thought I might hurt him because I'm fairly inexperienced for the job, and I considered taking him to Carolyn, but then I was all like, why would Carolyn want to help me with that. I felt silly

He doesn't seem to need his wings clipped if he is stepping up.Also when I got Loki they said she is very wild and she wasn't never ever bited.
