Parrots are almost adult size when they leave the nest, and he's got at least some of his adult plumage so he's fairly mature. Maybe he's just small. I don't think he is small because I have also watched videos of wild ones and they are his size maybe the pet ones they look bigger because they are being recorded so close up.Some of his adult plumage? Does he not have it all?

Okay, so, why did you break the cycle? It was going great. We shall continue... tielfan wrote: CrazyConure wrote: tielfan wrote: CrazyConure wrote: tielfan wrote: JustCoco! wrote: JessiMuse wrote: JustCoco! wrote: Brandon's-Fids wrote: Mel wrote: Brandon's-Fids wrote: Mel wrote: Brandon's-Fids wrote: I hope I can get Mango on his back soon lol. These quotes are getting big Let's continue the chain, shall we? Anyways, I am convinced that Caiques are the puppy dogs of the bird world. They're so goofy. I know right! I love conures, they're very fun. I think conures lay on their backs more because it's part of their nature, but I'm not so sure about the plum headed parakeets. You could ask though. There's a vendor at the Tucson bird mart who brings a lot of young conures, and you see a lot of them lying around on their backs in the container. Sometimes it looks like he has a bin full of dead birds lol. I haven't seen IRNs doing anything like that. I don't think we usually get plumheads at the bird mart since Joyce stopped breeding them. AWWW. Nothing better than a bunch of sleepy conures! I love conures. Since when did Joyce stop coming to the bird mart? Oh, she still comes to the bird marts. In fact she's the main person organizing the bird marts, since she's the president of the bird club. But she stopped breeding birds several years ago because she's retired. She's still got one plumhead that she keeps as a pet, and he's a gorgeous boy. At this point I think maybe we're still talking just because it's so funny to watch the chain of quotes getting longer and longer. HAHAHA! So true. I'm glad you're still in contact with Joyce. I never knew she had a plum head. Maybe you can redirect her to the forum and say that the members requested her. She's not into the internet. She has a computer but only checks her email about once a week. I'm sure she wouldn't be interested in hanging out on a forum. Soo... How's the weather?
