Your cake looks regular size, so the original one must have been HUGE.

That's a really nice-looking cake, and you did a great job of replicating it on a smaller scale.

Nice choice, it has a cat on it and you like cats.

Does "next time" mean next year or are you planning to make another Halloween cake this year?

Just for fun I googled "parrot cake" then clicked on Images so I'd see a lot of pictures. There are some nice cakes there if you ever want to do something with a bird theme. Here's a direct link, I hope it works for you: http://www.google.com/search?q=parrot+c ... h=731&sei= Yr6sTonAArCMigL71uGECw

I like this one but it's photoshopped, not a real cake:

"bird cake" turns up some nice results too, look at this one:

Here's a nice cat cake:

I could never do anything like this, I can barely make an ordinary cake.

i bet the bird in the nest is either fondant or sugar molds.
i like fondant just have trouble dying it, cause its made out of marshmellows (when u make it ur self) so its super stick if u dye more then one color. i suk at mixing in the color when in dough form.
imma look into how others do it.

next time i do mean next yr. no one else is having a party. tho i could do it with any thing not just a cake. as long as its a siloette picture.

You could probably get a job as a cake decorator if you wanted to. A lot of the decorators at grocery store bakeries aren't as good as you.

The really skilled people usually work for themselves at home or at specialty cake shops, making fancy cakes for weddings and birthdays and stuff like that. These are the people that make cakes like the ones in the pictures I posted. If you had a job at one of these places they could teach you a lot of the special techniques. The people working at home probably couldn't use a full-time helper but part time might be possible, and the specialty shops might have full time workers.
