The photo contest has fizzled out due to lack of participation. It would be wonderful if we can get it going again someday, but until then I'm switching over to a "Bird of the Month" format. A member's bird photo will be featured each month on the website's main page at
http://www.littlefeatheredbuddies.com/index.html and permanently in the Photo Contest section at
http://www.littlefeatheredbuddies.com/pc/pc.html A contest won't be held - I'll just choose a picture from what's available. I've chosen photos for 2010 to date.
July's Bird of the Month is Belle, a blue-naped mousebird belonging to our newest member Susanne (srtiels):
You can see the selections for previous months by following the link above. I tried to choose photos that belonged to members who still participate in the forum occasionally, and were of birds that haven't gone to the rainbow bridge as far as I know. That didn't leave a whole lot of options.
In the future it would be nice to have something to choose from besides my own cockatiel pictures, so this thread is a call for pictures. If you'd like your photo to be a candidate for bird of the month, post it here or anywhere else on the forum. Please be sure to include your bird's name with the picture. There's no telling when it might be chosen!
