I bought a colorful lei at the dollar store a while back. The birds showed no interest in it.
This afternoon, though, Silver is rubbing his head against the lei, getting his head under it and opening his wings, and chirping to it. He has been at this for a long time, now.
Birds are so interesting.

A lei is a garland of flowers made to be worn around the neck. It is traditional in Hawaiia and other parts of Polynesia. It is traditional for natives to greet visitors by putting a lei around their necks.
In this case, the lei is made of silk or plastic flowers. They are red, yellow, blue and white.
