Oh on Sunday, I finally got the millet spray but then they're scared of one whole millet but not when I get a chunk out of it and the brand is KAYTEE .I'm planning to feed it to them 1-2 times a week.Oh they flew out on Sat. and Kaylee flew out on Sun. and Mon. It's getting a bit common here.Tsk Tsk they fly out and then when we get them back in Sunshine is all stressed out tail-wagging.

It's healthy for them to get out of the cage and fly. The physical exercise is good for them, and if they're allowed to have some fun time before you put them back in the cage it's good for their mental health. It's best not to chase them around to the point of exhaustion though. If you clipped their wing feathers it would be easier to retrieve them.

When they fly out of the cage we don't actually chase them but we like stand somewhere and watch them fly around a bit then walk over to the place where they are then yeah.I really should wing-clip them then later they'll just be running around and fly around a bit.

:applaud: Guess what?!! Today I got Kaylee to step up!! I got part of the millet spray then let her eat it then put it really close to her so she can't see under her ..Meanwhile, my other finger closer to her abdomen and pet it a while till she doesn't mind
( It was really warm) then I push it up then she's on! I was so happy!! But, her nails were a bit sharp/long so it needs some trimming. So anyway, I was trying to get her back on her perch but then she wouldn't she was distracted with the millet and the more I take the millet from her reach the more she leaned forward and her nails dug in deeper "ow" but then she noticed she was on my hand and climb farther on my hand and nip/bit softly but I was scared so I shook my hand
( I know that was a stupid idea but I couldn't think clear because I was scared) SO she flew around the cage then landed on the cage floor and I got her back on the perch.

She flew out again today because of my brother..But only her.

In spite of the nipping, it's a good sign that she didn't run away when she realized she was on your hand. It means that she's not afraid of your hand! Now if she'll just stop disliking it enough to bite it lol.

When I put my finger out at her she will bite softly but then will start to bite harder and harder..
Oh today she got out again because of me so I was blowing off the husks at the kitchen and didn't close the cage door with that stick so when I got back she climbed out of the cage and infront of the door then took off the bad thing was...It was in the living room which was about twice as big as the room they're normally in.My mom was there too Uh Oh .So we waited for kaylee to land but then she flew into the kitchen and knocked down a napkin she landed on the floor but there were the blinds there which was a bit hard to get her on the perch. She got annoyed so she flew to a window and my mom grabbed her :yikes: my brother and I were freaking out but suddenly Kaylee flew between a closet and the blinds where my brother got the perch and she flew on it then put her back in the cage..I left out some details like her throwing an empty milk jug on the floor because my brother yelled at her which got her mad..

Now I really want to get them wing clipped just till they're tamed so when they go out they'll run around and fly a bit.
Oh Kaylee has gotten a bit more meaner to Sunshine but usually will feed him and groom him sometimes.

Did she bite your mom? You'll definitely have less problems like this if you get them clipped.

I don't know if it works the same way with budgies, but cockatiels will frequently become gentler and less aggressive when their wings are clipped. The ability to fly gives them a bad attitude sometimes.

I don't know because my mom to interact with them much if she does it's only complaining to them to be quiet and guess what!... :yikes: sometimes she'll kick their cage to get them to be quiet!!SO I'll tell my mom about wing-clipping but I'm pretty nervous that what if when they get there in the room they'll fly off and the person will just grab it! :yikes: and what if they were so scared they lose a lot of progress on taming!

Oh so anyway Kaylee today she attacked Sunshine for no reason!! I wasn't giving him any treats at that moment and Kaylee was wiping her beak on the perch but then got closer to Sunshine and well scared him out of his spot. Kaylee needs way more attention than Sunshine .Kaylee will squawk loudly to get our attention or just stand on the front perch and look like she's about to fly except she didn't spread out her wings.

Female budgies are naturally more aggressive than males and sometimes they abuse their cage mates. If she's seriously trying to hurt him you need to separate them until she's in a better mood, but most of the time there's no harm done.

Kicking the cage might temporarily make the birds be quiet, but it's also going to make them wilder and more aggressive. If the noise is really annoying, a better way to make them get quiet is to put a thick cover over the cage so it gets dark in there and they think it's night. They can't spend the whole day like this of course since they need enough daylight time to eat and exercise and do what birds do. But if a few minutes of peace and quiet is all that's needed, covering the cage will do the job.

If somebody gets grabby with the birds they'll learn to distrust that person, and might bite them. But if you're gentle with them most of the time they'll learn to trust you. It simply isn't possible to do what the birds like 100% of the time, and there will be times that you have to do things they don't like. But if your interactions are mostly positive, they'll be OK with you even if they've learned to hate everyone else in the house. Since your mom has been kicking the cage I'm sure they don't feel very friendly toward her right now, but if she changes her behavior they can learn to trust her eventually.
