An optional name field has been added to the user profile so that people who wants to can have their first name or nickname displayed on their posts below the avatar, along with the info like number of posts, join date, and happy chirps. This function is redundant for people who are already using their name as their User ID, but helpful for people who are using a less personal name for their ID (like tielfan for example). To use this function, click on the User Control Panel button that's on the lower left corner of the banner. Then click the Profile tab and scroll down to the Name field. Enter the name and hit submit!

I like that very much, I have seen it in another forum and I thought it was a neat way to give people a chance to use each other real names AND still have the nickname.
