If this person makes a living out of this idea I'd be surprised but very happy for them!

I have no idea what a pysanky is!

I googled pysanky. Turns out the spelling was a little off, but a pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pysanka Now someone is doing it with cockatiel eggs! Those are pretty intricate designs for such a small egg.

I thought it was a baby portrait of a tiel. Guess I was wrong. Although that is a cute idea...

If I still had good eyes I'd seriously think of making pets' miniature portraits. I think there is a fortune to make out of those.
Not many people want to hang a giant oil portrait of their cat/dog/bird (even though I have seen some), but a miniature is something every pet owner would like to have.

I would. I love my pets more than anything, so all my artwork revolves around them. The house has my work about my animals. It's double special in that case.

In your case, Stephanie, I'd think about the miniature side of pet art.
My sister did miniatures for a while, not for money, just something she wanted to try, and she got a lot of satisfaction out of it. I scolded her because she wasn't interested in the business side :)
It appeals to me a lot because I don't usually feel big attraction towards huge art pieces... I love compact. And a miniature can really be the essence of the pet you're portraying.
If you ever want to try it out, after Beaker Jaid and Beck please make me a Bubu :D
