I heard a great new word today for a hen who has an egg inside her. It's "eggnant".

Shodu was eggnant not too long ago. Now the chicks from her second clutch of the year are starting to hatch.

Yeah, I've got 10 cockatiel chicks on my hands right now. The oldest is two months old and the youngest is a newborn baby that hatched this morning. There aren't any more eggs left so that should be the entire crop for this year.
