I have to say, he's been with me for a very short time, but still I miss him! Even though he surely isn't a cuddly bird, he was so endearing! I had his cage next to my bed and talked to him a lot when I was there. He's a very good listener :-)
It's incredible how birds, even the grumpy ones, can touch your heart in such a short time.

So I'm guessing from your post he has gone to a new home, where their is another bird for company, for him.... Yes birds get to our hearts, in no time at all...
I hope he settles where ever and finds some peace... he deserves it doesn't he, and the company of another bird like himself...
You've done the right thing Barbara...

It's too bad that you couldn't keep him yourself, but it sounds like he'll be very happy in his new home.

I was given the choice of keeping him AND the other Senegal, but with all the tiels living here I feel I can properly take care of only one bird of a different species.
Now I have a little black headed caique living with us, small bird with HUGE personality. No idea how long he'll stay, he is a show bird so he travels a lot, lucky him :-)

I want to see a picture. I love caiques, but their scream would drive me nuts.

Well, I was very surprised by his voice. When he screams you have to cover your ears, that's for sure lol, but the normal sounds are much similar to tiel's sounds than a bigger parrot like, say, senegals or conures.
I have videos and photos but I am still without internet so I wasn't able to upload anything :-(

For once there is a happy ending to this story: he has found a friend and he seems very happy indeed! Judge by yourself :)
He still gives the deadly stare though
