I saw your post about your parents not letting you have a bird inside. Trust me, I really have all of the experience of parents not allowing pets in the house.

Can you try and find out all of the reasons why they aren't allowed?

He'd said before that they were concerned that it might make him get asthma or something. The risks are low with just two birds and a small air purifier would make them even lower. It's possible that there are more reasons than that.

I have the Honeywell air purifier and it isn't expensive and it really does get rid of all the dust. I haven't had allergies since I bought it.

We need to figure out all the reasons they don't want them inside the house so we can help you approach your parents. Can you try to ask them if there is anything else?

My mom has never liked animals. She says that she is scared that someone might get bronchitis or asthma or any other disease.

But I really think that the reason she wont let birds in the house, is because of a trauma she might've had a long time ago.

My aunt had budgies in her room, and she slept in the same room they were in. But she was pregnant, and she lost a baby. And at the same time, she got asthma. My aunt has asthma and she is always telling us not to have birds inside the house.

I personally don't believe I'll get asthma from my birds if i take good care of them, but it's really been hard to convince my mom to let my birds inside. She even said that when the birds got near her, she'd feel "sick".

Oh, and i forgot to mention, my mom says that my birds are messy and always throw the seeds in the ground (wich is kinda true).

And she also says it smells like a farm. I reaaly don't know why because nobody smells anything.

Your aunt might've had an allergic reaction. Asthma can not simply be "caught" by birds. It may be triggered, if they are allergic, but allergic reactions are not inherited, in any way. I highly doubt the baby was lost because of the budgies, as well, since that seems highly illogical. Sounds like your mother has a phobia (irrational fear) of animals due to her experience, and is using those excuses to keep the animals from being in the house.

Try and search up articles and such, about the use of air purifiers to keep the air clean when there are animals in the house. Keeping the animals clean themselves, will also prevent allergic reactions. If you have a room in the house, that your mother can have the option not to go into, you can keep birds in said room, and keep the door closed. That way, the birds can be in the house, and your mom doesn't have to experience them.

At least convince her to try and use an air purifier. She will never know whether or not something may work, unless if she gives it a chance.

The seeds on the floor can be cured with these feeders http://www.amazon.com/Tidy-Bird-No-Mess ... B00YAL1N60

I use them myself and there isn't a crumb of seed or pellet on the floor. It also saves money on food which is also a plus. :)

Oh, and there is also something else. Almost all my pets have been killed for the same reason. Actually two of them:

It is extremely hot outside

There are ALWAYS predators outside (such as cats, cats and cats)

I really need to convince them to let me keep them inside, before it's too late.

What should i do??

You do what I just said. Try and reason with your parents, to put their cage in a room they don't have to go in. Preferably your bedroom. Also try and convince them about the air purifier. Tell them that an air purifier will get rid of the dust.

This would mean that you would have to go in and clean the room yourself. You have to convince your parents that you're willing to do so. It would help to find some articles online that will prove to your mom that it's not possible to get asthma from just two birds, unless if you're allergic, which in this case, you're not (or else you would've already had an asthma attack in the first place).

Your uncle's a bird person, right? Can't he talk to your parents about the dangers of keeping them outside, and how to keep them inside without anyone "catching" asthma?

You can tell your parents that your birds are in a lot of danger and you don't want them to die. Many, many, many people keep birds indoors without having any problems, so they're being endangered for no real reason and you'll be very upset if anything happens to them. You can clean up the mess they make, and do what you can to keep the birds away from your mother since she doesn't like them. If there is anything that they have been wanting you to do, maybe you could promise to do that too. Just make sure to do everything you promised if they agree.

I'm worried about Coco and I hope he will be all right.
