Yes that's the same in Europe and in most of the world, public school is free and government funded. But UK and probably a few other commonwealth countries use the term public school meaning the type of school where you pay etc.

I had a miserable day yesterday Ever since I went to high school, my life went upside down. I used to be very happy and cheerful in my middle school days but now I. Am a mess. I have emotional breakdowns and I run to the bathroom and cry there sat least twice a week, yes, boys do cry (at least I do) I have a psychologist that pulls me out of my class every Tuesday and we talk but I don't tell him anything that I keep inside. I go to a religious school which means that I have way more subjects than a normal person and that means that if I get one F in those classes, I won't get my diploma. And I got a 26 on of those classes which made me so upset yesterday, my teacher said that I had to get it signed by my parents but I got to scared to After my school finished my mom picked me up from school and she noticed that I was sad so she asked me what happened, and I just started to cry (it was my 3rd time crying on the same day) I was thinking of suicide yesterday, but the only think that held me back were my birds, I thought "if I died, who would feed my birds and who would take care of them" Well, now you know my life...

I'm sure that your current school would teach you a lot more facts than a less demanding school would. But there are more facts in the world than any one person can learn, and a lot of them are facts that we don't actually need. The best thing a school can do for you is teach you how to do your own research and logically analyze the facts to find the answer to a question. You need to have a good basic knowledge for this, but you don't have to have every fact in the world stored in your head. If you have this capability you can identify and find the information that you actually need and the facts that interest you. Most of us can get through life just fine without knowing the history of the Peloponnesian war. If you're one of the rare people who needs this information for your job, or if you think it's a cool subject, you'll learn about it. There's no practical reason that you need to learn about obscure subjects in high school. Albert Einstein didn't bother to learn his own telephone number because it was easy to look it up in the phone book, and he was using his brain for more important things. Here's a link that you can show people who think you need to stuff your head full of facts: https://sites.google.com/site/philledwa ... ritequotesNot every high school teaches students to use their own thought processes though. Some of them just feed you a bunch of facts and think they've done their job if you can give those same facts back to them on a test. If your current school is teaching you to think and analyze, take advantage of that opportunity as much as you can while you're still there. If it's basically a fact-cramming place, there's a lot of opportunity for thinking and analyzing with birds and bird forums, so your hobby might give you something that your school doesn't.

Thank you! I'm going to tell my psychologist tomorrow. What I'm worried about is that at out first time meeting, he said he won't tell anyone our conversation unless it's about suicide or cutting, so I'm worried that he'll tell my parents.
